Having the right information with you helps us keep your appointment moving smoothly.

Referral or request form from your GP or specialist.

Your current Medicare card ( or relevant healthcare card).

A form of identification (e.g. driver’s license or passport).

Food & Drink

Do I Need to Fast?

Not every scan requires fasting.

Some CT examinations and certain ultrasound scans may require you to avoid food for a period of time before your appointment.

If fasting is needed, our team will confirm the exact instructions when your appointment is booked.
Please follow the instructions provided for your specific examination rather than fasting unnecessarily.

Your Medications

Can I Take My Usual Medication?

In many cases, yes — but some examinations may require specific instructions.

Continue taking your usual medication unless you have been advised otherwise.

If you take blood-thinning medication, diabetes medication, or have concerns about any treatment before your scan, please contact our team before your appointment.

Pregnancy & Imaging

Let Us Know if You May Be Pregnant

If there is any possibility you may be pregnant, please tell our team before your appointment.

This is particularly important for examinations involving X-rays or CT so our clinical team can determine the most appropriate approach.
