Cardiac imaging uses specialised technology to create detailed images of the heart, its chambers, valves and blood vessels. It helps your doctor assess how your heart is structured and functioning, as well as investigate concerns relating to blood flow and coronary arteries.
Depending on your referral, cardiac imaging may involve advanced CT imaging or other specialised examinations. Your radiographer will explain what your appointment involves and provide any preparation instructions before your scan.
